Directions to picnic area

From the east, traveling on the W&OD trail:
Approximately .3 miles past the 33.5 mile marker at the sign for Douglass Community Center, turn right onto the cement pathway and follow to picnic area.  There  is a portajohn and restrooms in the community center.

From the west traveling on the W&OD trail:

Just past the walk light crossing (Catoctin circle), turn left onto cement pathway and follow to picnic area. This turn is unmarked from the west.

Directions to Deli (food)

From the east, traveling on the W&OD trail:
Continue past entrance to Community center.

X Catoctin circle at walk light

0.3 mile turn right onto Harrison St (1^st right after crossing)

0.2 mile to Market Square at top of hill on left (“Tuscarora restaurant on top level)

South Street Under is a carry-out deli that has vegetarian selections as well as regular sandwiches

To return to picnic area, retrace route to X Catoctin Circle (walk light) and turn left onto cement path leading to picnic area

From the west traveling on the W&OD trail:

42.2 Left onto W&OD trail (at intersection of Dry Mill & trail)

X Valley View

42.7 X King St

42.8 L onto Harrison St

43.1 Market Square is on left at top (almost) of hill

To get to picnic area, retrace route to W&OD trail,

turn left (east)

X Catoctin Circle at walk light.

Turn left onto cement path just past intersection (unmarked from west).
