Terrain:

Rolling hills through Glen Echo and Bethesda on the ride out to Beach Drive then flat to Needwood.  Climbs away from Rock Creek on the way to Bethesda and the Crescent for the return trip.

Surface:

Mostly low-traffic suburban roads on the way out.  About 1.5 of mess in Georgetown.  Low traffic road and trails on the return.
