Cherry Blossom Rides 2005 |

We had four blossom rides this year: April 1, 6, 8, and 13; Sandy brought her camera on each ride. Although there were no cherry blossoms on the first ride, we did find several other types of blossoms including forsythia, pansies, and magnolias. A few cherry trees were blooming on April 6, but it wasn't until the 8th that we experienced the full effect. Since it was cloudy and grey that day, we had to return again on the 13th. That was the first time we found sun, blue skies, and peak blossoms at the same time. The photos are good, but they do not fully capture the experience of riding through Kenwood under a canopy of blossoms. An unforgettable experience! |
