Cherry Blossom Rides 2006

We had three blossom rides so far this year:  March 27, 29, and 31.  Eight babes rode on Monday, ten on Wednesday, and nine on Friday.  Only two of us rode all three days (me and Sandy).  Marla, Nancy, Laura, and Miriam rode two of the three rides.  A total of 20 babes rode at least one Cherry Blossom ride so far this year.

There weren't many blossoms out on Monday despite the media forecasting peak bloom that day.  We found a few trees blooming on Wed and took a lot of photos.  On Friday, the trees were peaking at all three locations:  tidal basin, Kenwood, and Haines Point.  The weather couldn't have been better:  sunny, warm, and little wind.  And many gorgeous cherry blossoms.  Our photographer had two flat tires that day, and we didn't stop to let her take many photos.  I'm writing this on Sat (April Fool's Day), and I expect we'll have at least one more Blossom ride if the wind doesn't blow them all off the trees before Wednesday.
